Her appeal includes: Ernest Lee Ibarra, Jr., was beaten, abducted from his home, and murdered by three men during the early morning hours of February 20, 2015. Investigation of the incident resulted in charges of aggravated kidnapping1 against Ibarra’s wife, Samantha Nicole Wohlford, who was convicted by a Titus County jury and sentenced to fifty years’ imprisonment. On appeal, Wohlford complains that the trial court erred in failing to instruct the jury that Jonathan Sanford, one of the three men involved in Ibarra’s kidnapping and murder,2 was an accomplice witness as a matter of law and in failing to include a jailhouse-witness instruction in its jury charge. Because we find that (1) the trial court did not err by not including a jailhouse-witness instruction and (2) the trial court’s error in failing to give a proper accomplice-witness instruction was harmless, we affirm the trial court’s judgment.

To take our babies. An investigation, needs to be conducted on them. God knows we deserve them children to be with our family. A family who loves them. Her mother said there just a check to them. ReplyDelete*EDIT* He was a good kid. I had the pleasure of working with him a little as he was sort-of an intern at the same place I worked. He was quite young at the time; just out of high school. He was one of those who had a rare ability to make you laugh even if you were irritated at him and I think he would have done well in the I.T. world. It's a shame that he ended up with that woman. I really liked him. What's even more eerie was I remember seeing two of the murderers at the hospital later that day when they were trying to use it as an alibi. I 100% thought, "Those guys look like trouble." Luckily we had security cameras with time-stamps.

I was so upset that she had five children that she didnt care about they were just her accessories and I was upset by her family saying well Ernie didnt stop playing his game while he was not working. Yeah working his two jobs to keep his WIFE in a home driving a car eating food paying the bills looking after his children because their mum was too busy or she hadnt drugged them up enough to keep them from hindering her pursuits . ReplyDeleteShe is a sociopath, plain and simple. No more needs to be said. I watch these poor families give impact statements and I just shake my head - sociopaths and psychopaths have no empathy. They don’t care if you suffer. They didn’t care if their victim suffered. They enjoyed it. Many times they laugh at or at a least smirk at people that give impact statements. The only way I’d give an impact statement is without the sociopath or psycho in the courtroom, because the jury SHOULD hear you, so they can make a just decision on punishment. But please remember this, if ever, God forbid, something this horrible happens to you. They DON’T CARE! They don’t have the mental capacity to care! Nothing gives them more pleasure than physical and mental abuse, torture and murder. To what extent they go to, depends on each sociopath/psychopath.
Anyhow, I came here searching to find out what happened to the children - may never know for sure. I know it burns my ass when they go to the murderer’s family. I hope they went to Earnie’s family. They probably didn’t have a lot to say in the first set of twins, but if it’s in the best interest of the children and no one else has ever been in their lives, on the maternal side and the bio father, it may not matter and Earnie’s family could possibly still get them. You know, better to keep them together, they know and love each other…
One could only hope. The children is all “we” can pray for now and hope they have a wonderful life. Rest In Peace Earnie, you were a wonderful young man and father!!!!
