A Mother's Work - Donna Horwitz and Lanny Horwitz

On American Monster, Season Three, the episode titled, “A Mother's Work“ is about Donna Horwitz and the second degree murder of her ex-husband Lanny Horwitz.The jury struggled greatly to arrive at a unanimous verdict.. Her defense attempted to blame the murder on their son, Radley Horwitz. She appealed, won a second trial and was re-convicted.

They had married and divorced twice and were living together attempting to reconcile at the time of the murder

. She was sentenced to life, which at her age, could have been twenty years.

Florida prison is rough as air conditioning is not provided to inmates and the fans are often taken as punishment when the rules are broken.
